Grinder Coffee Co is an independent coffee shop, located just outside of Sunderland City Centre and close to Sunderland University.
Our focus is on serving quality food and drinks in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

We're proud to be local business in Sunderland and we love to support our community wherever possible. Most of our baked goods are lovingly made right here in Sunderland by our fantastic baker.

PRODUCTS
Our coffee beans are ultimately at the core of our business. We've sourced a balanced blend of bright, medium roast beans, which give a full bodied flavour with a citrus/zesty taste. Our coffee has low acidity for a mellow, rounded taste.
​
The beans produce a wonderful rich velvety crema, and it is this crema which holds all the oils from the beans. This is what gives you great tasting coffee!

Alongside our food & drink selection, we also have a retail offering. We have curated a small collection of produce and gifts, many handmade by local artisans.
